You’re Lifting Wrong if You’re Not Doing This

The #1 intangible for a killer workout

Have you ever finished a workout and think to yourself, “Huh, that was not what I wanted at all”? You put in the work, you did the sets and reps, you followed your program exactly as you had it written down on your workout notebook…yet you don’t feel accomplished.

What happened?

I’ve had this problem too. I did everything I was supposed to, broke a sweat, and my muscles are kind of sore. However, I don’t mentally believe I have actually done a workout.

It’s as if I just went through the motions.

Sadly, this is common. People go to their gym, their body’s temple, and they just ho-hum their way through 45 minutes of lame-ass exercises that lack intensity. They leave feeling “meh,” unsatisfied, weak.

Not all workouts are created equal.

A brisk walk where you focus on your breathing and your steps trumps an HIIT stint where throughout the entire session you’re contemplating what you should get for lunch after.

The treadmill trotter who is enamored by their favorite podcast will get outworked by the person next to them balancing breathing and pace with some music blaring in their ears.
