Yes Susan, by all means continue to pitch to publications until one says yes. Don’t wait too long; if they don’t respond within three days, move on.

Glad that this helped! It isn’t a matter of figuring out plot or winging it, but figuring out who your main character is, what they believe, and how they change due to the plot. Plot will figure itself out; story is something else entirely, one you need to pour all of your efforts into.
