What the Hell Does “Healthy” Even Mean?

Deconstructing everybody’s favorite: The “Food Plate”

“Eat healthy and you’ll look shredded AF!”

How many fitness gurus and bodybuilding beasts have said something like this? Chicken, brown rice, and cruciferous veggies FTW! Apparently, if you eat boring, then your body will be exciting.

Perhaps we should prescribe to the other side of the spectrum: “Eat dirty and bulk up, you’ll be huge — in a good way!”

…Yeah, no.

Truthfully, the word “healthy” has become unnecessarily convoluted. Multiple camps — the government, food industries, doctors, health brands, medical drug empires — have their own agendas and opinions on what healthy really means.

Unfortunately, the overcrowding of information affects only one person: YOU.

You, the normal, everyday person, is caught in the crosshairs of a political battle to control what you ingest.

Thought you had the power to choose what you eat and drink? Think again.

So, what is healthy?

For argument’s sake, let’s assume I actually give a shit about you. Unlike dairy companies who want to sell dairy products, and drug companies that want to…
