First off, it’s so amazing that you’ve been writing fiction for FOUR YEARS. I can’t wait to get to that point consistently. I know if I work at it for a long time, it’ll become fruitful.
Structuring articles on Medium has a slight learning curve, but keep reading people who have the formatting down. It will come to you within a few weeks. (And it is a rather powerful platform!)
Rough weeks happen, brother. To all of us. And you know what? That’s more than okay! The important thing is to never feel overly discouraged, to the point of quitting. It’s like any sport: Sometimes the ball doesn’t roll your way, but you either move on to the next play or stew in anger or frustration until you give up. Strive for the former!
And trust me, you’ll make it. I can tell because I have a feeling this is what you were meant for. Your notice is for October? Mine’s in three weeks. In 22 days, I will be getting on a plane for a new country I’ve never been to for three months. You have a better fool’s chance than me!
I question myself constantly, in the back of my mind. At the forefront, I am now in a “What else needs to happen for us to transition” mode that cannot be stopped. This train has already left the station, no going back. You’ll see it when you get closer. At that point, you’ll know fighting it is pointless, might as well put some pen to paper.
You got this Sam…keep kicking ass! Best of luck with your future as well, and thanks for the support!
